Date : 07/09/2008
Hi everyone!
I hope that you've had a good Summer break. The 2008/9 season is upon us!
I hope that we have as good a season as last year and I'm looking forward to working with all of you to continue to grow the Junior section and get more young players from the Hambleton area enjoying playing rugby at Thirsk RUCFC.
Please find below details for the next 3 weeks. If you have any queries, please contact me on
juniorcontact@thirsk-rugby.co.uk.
1. Sunday 7th September - Registration only (apart from U14s)
For those who didn't register for the 2008/9 season via the Summer rugby camp, you will be able to register at Thirsk Athletic Club from 9-11am. The kit shop and kitchen will be open. Plse note that we will be out of TAC by 11 as it is a races day.
The U14s are having a training session up at Thirsk School. U14s that need to register for the 2008/9 season should come to TAC 1st and then go up to the school for the training session. Plse contact your lead coach Bob Champion for more details.
2. Sunday 14th September - Registration and training.
TAC. 10.30am-12noon. Usual format.
3. Sunday 21st September - Matches against Wensleydale.
U7-U10 away (Wensleydale)
U11-U14 @ home (Thirsk Athletic Club)
Usual format.
4. Wednesday 17th September - Training session for ALL players with Leeds Carnegie.
Thirsk Athletic Club. Approx 7pm start - to be confirmed later. Free food / drinks for the players afterwards. This is slightly different for 2008/09 as all junior players including those U7/U8 (who play Tag Rugby) can attend.
5. Saturday 18th October - Autumn International Free Tickets Draw.
All 2008/9 registered / paid up junior players will be entered into a club (juniors + seniors) draw to win two free tickets for one of the England's autumn internationals.
Plse note that a parent / guardian needs to have paid their £5 fee too. There will be 1 entry / family unit. A family unit = player(s) + parent / guardian. Further details and rules to be confirmed later.
