Thirsk U9/U10s played a Whitby U9/U10's team at Thirsks ground, with great support from the crowd of parents. Whitby playing their first full contact game scored first taking Thirsk by surprise, after some hard work from both teams the the half time whistle went with the score of two tries each. In the second half Thirsk kicked into gear and scored a further three tries with no response.
The second game played saw some outstanding playing by both sides, Thirsk played the more expansive rugby and lead at half time by two tries to nil. Edward Lake in the course of the game made three try saving tackles to keep Thirsk ahead, Edward went on to win the Player of the Match award. Benjamin Mcintosh tackled well in the centre of the field, while Owen Feilding and William Wilson were the heart of Thirsks attack.
One of the best moves in the game saw Lewis Rochester from a penalty, long pass missing two of his team mates out to Edward Lake whom had the space to go over for a try.
