Thirsk took 2 combined teams of under 9's and 10's to play Clifton York on Sunday and once again were only narrowly beaten.25-20 and 30-15 by the home side. Both team's played really well putting into practise the hard work they've put in on Rucking and passing out of the tackle.Once the team got focused and concentrated which is an area we need to work on, the rugby really improved with a number of players putting in outstanding performances,showing real confidence in what they are doing, really getting to grips with putting the drills they are learning into a game situation,Solid tackling and slick passing were as usual strong points in the game with great improvement in protecting the ball in possession. Also apparent was the whole squad seemed to be playing hard and enjoying it which is a key element.Really well done guys you working hard and playing well the results will come !
